Are there any additives or chemicals in your Batana Oil?

Absolutely not.
Kuri Nüka Batana Oil has NO additives, chemicals, parabens, or artificial ingredients. It's just pure, unrefined Batana Oil as nature intended.

The oil melted — is that normal?

Yes, completely normal! Real Batana Oil naturally solidifies in cooler temperatures and melts in warmer ones. If it's too runny, you can store it in the fridge for about 5–10 minutes to let it firm up a bit. Just don’t freeze it.

Application Methods

  • Pre-Poo Treatment

Apply Batana Oil generously to dry hair before shampooing. Leave for 15-30 minutes to nourish and protect, reducing breakage and dryness. Rinse and proceed with your usual shampoo and conditioner.

  • Quick Treatment

For a fast boost, apply Batana Oil to your scalp and strands, leaving it on for 30 minutes. This treatment hydrates and softens, leaving your hair shinier and more manageable.

  • Overnight Ritual

Apply Batana Oil generously to clean, dry hair and scalp before bed. Wake up to thicker, softer, and more manageable hair.

How to Use for Best Results

Summer Update
As we head into the warmer season, Batana Oil may liquefy above 25°C — a natural sign of its purity. Store Batana Oil in a cool, dry place, ideally below room temperature (around 60-75°F). If it liquefies, simply place it in a cooler area, such as a refrigerator, for a few hours to solidify. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Can Batana Oil stay on the hair while braided?

Yes, absolutely! In fact, leaving the oil in while the hair is braided can help lock in moisture and promote growth. You can apply a small amount directly to the scalp and massage it gently — especially around the edges and roots — even while the hair is braided. This is totally safe and effective.

Can I use it on my baby?

Yes, Batana Oil is 100% pure and natural, and safe for little ones! That said, we always recommend doing a small patch test on a tiny area of their scalp or skin first — just to be extra cautious since baby skin can be more sensitive. If there's no reaction within 24 hours, you're good to go.

How to spot fakes?

Authentic Batana oil is solid at room temperature (typically below 24°C / 75°F) and melts easily upon contact with the skin.

When cold, it appears firm and slightly grainy, but quickly transforms into a rich, smooth oil as you warm it in your hands.

Authentic Batana oil has just one single color: rich brown — never green, grey, or yellow.

Scent

Real Batana oil has a natural, earthy, and smoky aroma—similar to coffee or popcorn (depending on individual sensitivity). Unlike synthetic or floral fragrances.

Is Kuri Nüka tested on animals?

No, Kuri Nüka is a cruelty-free brand. Our products are never tested on animals, and we take pride in our ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.

Shipping & Delivery

When will my order ship?

Once you place your order, here’s what to expect:

  • 0–6 hours: Your order is processed and scheduled for production. (During this time, you may request cancellations or modifications to your order.)

  • Day 1 to Day 7: Your order is in transit. Please note: Your order travels internationally. No worries, your handcrafted package is safely on its way.

  • Day 8 to Day 12: Your order reaches your local carrier for final delivery. You can keep tracking your package as it moves toward your doorstep.

How I can track my Order?

You can easily track your order by clicking the “Track Your Order” button in the order confirmation email or shipping confirmation email we’ve sent you.

Alternatively, you may also visit our website, go to the Help Center, and select Find Your Order to check the latest updates.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you can cancel your order, but please notify us within 6 hours from the time you place your order by emailing support@kurinuka.com or sending a message through our contact form. We usually process orders on the same day to ensure timely shipping, so it’s important to contact us within that time period to cancel the order before it’s shipped.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We accept and deliver orders worldwide.

What if I entered the wrong address?

If the address is incorrect or incomplete (especially missing house number), we’ll email you to confirm before shipment. Incorrect addresses can cause delays or returns. If returned, reshipment may incur a fee depending on the case.

What if my package is marked 'delivered' but I didn’t receive it?

Please check your mailbox, front porch, and with neighbors. If the parcel is still missing, contact us at support@kurinuka.com with your current address and phone number, and we’ll assist further.

Returns & Refunds Policy

At Kuri Nüka, we care deeply about your experience and the quality of our products. While we stand behind every order, we also recognize that sometimes things don’t go as expected. That’s why we offer a transparent, fair, and flexible returns and refunds process.

Refund Eligibility

We’re happy to consider a refund under the following conditions:

  • The issue is related to an error on our part (e.g. wrong item or damaged item).
  • The item was damaged during transit.

Note: For opened or used items, refunds may only be offered in special cases and at the discretion of our support team.

Non-Refundable Situations

To ensure fairness and maintain our product quality standards, refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • Orders marked as delivered but claimed missing without proof (e.g. theft report or postal certificate).
  • Customer regret or dissatisfaction after partial or full use of the product.
  • Shipping fees (shipping costs are non-refundable).
